When I was a teenager, I said those fatal words: “I don’t know what I want to do when I grow up, but I don’t want to be a Geography teacher.” I comfort myself that I lecture but I’m kidding no-one.
Moreover, Geography at degree level is a much more diverse and interesting subject than I found it to be at GCSE. I find teaching students about my research very rewarding. Here are brief details on some of the key teaching that I have done, as well as other Geography learning bits and pieces.
I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy after completing a 20 credit Masters level/level 7 Teaching and Learning in Higher Education qualification (grade A), in 2012.
